Designers

When it comes to some of my favorite designers, there are a few new ones that I have found. They are Jared Tuttle, Adeline Moreno, and Nina Painter.

When it comes to Jared Tuttle, he has a very unique style. He also uses a pretty defined color pallet on all of his works. As far as being drawn to his works, I surprised myself. They aren't designs that I would typically look at an be interested in. I think what drew me to his stuff was the color he did use. They are not colors that I typically would put together, but when he uses them, they work really well together. Tuttle does anything from full designs, to lettering, to even some commercial and private works. He received his bachelors in fine arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

The next designer that I have recently been attracted to is Audelino Moreno Gonzalez. Like Jared Tuttle, Gonzalez does anything from full designers to lettering. What I like about his works is some of them have the more retro and classic feel to them. He plays with classic styles and makes them feel almost modern. He has several different styles that he can do which I think is really admirable. Being able to pull of so many different kinds of styles can become complicated when you get so used to doing one style really well. Audelino has won several awards and has a lot of experience under his belt.

Lastly, I have recently been admiring the works of Nina Painter. Nina has style that I really like. Like the other two that I have talked about, Painter can do lettering, full designs, and has even helped with some logos. What I admire most about her is her lettering work. The fluidity that she is able to accomplish I think really helps with making her works pop. She has done jobs for Starbucks, Kathryn Dawson, who creates fabric bags, and some other commercial and private jobs.

Artist Works:
These first two images are works of Jared Tuttle. I chose the first one because I think it really showcases his lettering abilities. I love the style and think it goes together really well. The second image I chose because I think is has a strong message with a fairly simple image. It also showcases the simplistic colors that he uses. His style is one that is unique and one that I really enjoy.

These two works are those of Audelino Moreno Gonzalez. I chose the first one because of the creativity. It is for an ad for Oasics. It showcases a little bit of his lettering, but also how he can tie things together so well. It's simple but very affective. The second image that I chose shows his skill of illustration. I love the colors and what the picture represents. I also like how he decided to do the majority of the design as the actual picture and dedicated a small section for wording.

These last two images are works of Nina Painter. The first one is a logo that she created for Kathryn Dawson, a designer that creates fabric bags. I think this logo is simplistic, beautiful, and playful all in one. I think it really represents what it should; fun patterned designs. The second image is one that she did for Starbucks. It showcases the Starbucks Siren in a new way; the Psychedelic Siren. I think it is a creative and playful design. I think the colors she chose go really well together and really add to the overall look of the design. It also showcases some of her hand lettering.
